Its the Holiday Season!

I can't believe the excitement that I am feeling this year about Christmas! So with that spirit I actually took some photos of us setting up our tree!
Here is our christmas ritual...
1. The ritual that all men are familiar with - the testing of the lights! Yes, the laying all the light bulbs in a row, checking to see that all are working, changing bulbs that are not, connecting 500 lights to one master switch...you all know that ritual!
2. Panicking when the lights don't work.
3. Stepping accidently on light bulbs and smashing them to smithereens and then replacing them again.
4. Joining the trunk of a 6 foot tree and spreading out the branches.
5. Stepping over an unperturbed puppy who has decided at that moment to chew a bone that she rediscovered after we moved the furniture.
6. Putting up the lights by making numerous rounds around the tree.
7. Testing the lights to see which area is bare.
8. Panicking again when 1 god forsaken entire row does not work and has to be removed slowly, changed and tested again.
9. Finally putting up decorations - all the reds first, then the golds, then the mixture of colours.
10. Taking the ladder up to put the angel on the top which till today is balancing precariously with her pretty little dress.
11. Switching on the lights and smiling!
12. Puppy still not perturbed.
13. Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, the Carpenters, The Osmonds all playing in the background for the last 4 hours.
14. Sweeping the floor of the countless needles that have fallen from the tree.
