Our baby girl at 4 months

Another milestone in Caitlin's life! After much calling ( and I mean a lot of calling!) to sis in law for help, 2 books bought (one including the idiots guide to making baby food) and internet research, Caitlin has finally embarked on solids! It was so thrilling to see her take her bite of food (banana puree) which she took in willingly, grimaced and then swallowed. After that, she would grimace even before the spoon hit her lips, anticipating the sourness of the banana. So far she has tried :

1. Banana which she hates.
2. Apple sauce which she loves.
3. Plain rice cereal which she adores.
4. Plain rice cereal and carrot puree which she laps up.

Next week on the menu:
1. Cereal and brocoli
2. Avacado .

    Hi there!

try steaming brocolli with one of the following :
    apple
    sweet potato
    normal potato
    carrot
    pumpkin

use a hand blender after the steaming process and add a teaspoon of either rice cereal or milk (optional).

She's smiling so that she does not have to swallow the food and it can all dribble out!

    It's true!

She does the dirty smiling trick to get out of drinking.

She looks so cute though... but when I'm feeding her with the milk, she'll still get a, "Stop this dirty smiling trick!"

"Well it says feed every two hours except it takes me two hours to feed her. So is it two hours from when I start or from when I finish, cos I'm feeing her all the time!"

Caitlin loves her fruit feeding time! giggling and smiling! makes a face if its a bit sour but opening wide anyway! You know what the best part about all this is? i get to see her fatty smiling face everyday! along with her wonderful mother who happens to be my "daily date".
One thing we noticed is that Caitlin has a different smile for each of us, i get the shy grin with the look away, Mischa gets the full mouth glorius grin with giggle and pepper gets the big smile and excited eyes look as Caitlin wonders what this dog is going to do next!
