My sista! My sista is coming home!

I am so excited as this saturday noelle lynn aka tuff, tuffy, tuffles and her boyfriend Jamie will be back in Singapore!

After the countless phone conversations, emails, smses, movie quips and challenges, bitching and gossiping, she will be home so we can do exactly what we have been doing for the last year but face to face! She will be here for a month but will officially be home by next June! So its going to be a great christmas especially with her "special" friend Jamie (pronounced the mexican way) who we all can't wait to meet because after a year with her he is now a sambal belachan fanatic and as well all know, for a white boy, that is no mere feat as the smell of it burning is good enough to knock out a horse.

She will be just in time for the lovely (read sarcastic) christmas traditions of cutting and pickling vergetables, sugee cake, tarts and jam and her famous speciality - ikan bilis! So any orders please place them in the comments!

Its all about the money!

Well I have not posted a blog in eons! I have had an extremely full week culminating in a three aside scrabble game with my in laws that left us laughing, accusing, thinking and in my case, not winning! Who would have thought that the biggest complainer there turned out to be the king of scrabble and could make words left, right and centre!

Saturday was our first shopping marathon trip of the Christmas season, starting with a trip to my cousin's new house in Kallang which is really nice! After that we were actually standing outside Takashimaya with the security guard waiting for the doors to open! We looked at shoes, maternity clothes, tops, met laura and her cousin Yien Li for tea and more shopping and even took a bus back down to tangs as we were too tired to walk! I actually had to ask the bus uncle "Tangs how much?" because I have not sat in a bus in 5 years! The shopping continued on tuesday with Ally and Megan (the girls) at the revamped parkway parade, where the ladies patiently waited for me to try on every possible maternity jeans that ever existed and even gave me constructive comments! I had a great time on both days!

So what you see on this blog is my first maternity outfit as for all those who know me, my normal clothes are so binding that the baby was probably pales (read grumpy) with me! So I threw on this top that Laura gave me, used the pants with the button open and voila! I must say I was extremely comfortable about letting it all hang out and stuffing my face at the same time!
