Who cares about Edward and Mischa when we have Caitlin!!

For the last few weeks, there has been a steady stream of visitors coming to our place not to see us but to see Caitlin! From Debbie to Laura, Bel and Andre and Verena, Jason and Joshua, it has been busy on the weekends! Dinner was great on sat with appetisers brought by bel and dre (high class type - salad and artichokes), dinner of macaroni pie and dessert of chocolate cake (from Verena and Jason). It has been great despite the fact that by the time they all come, Miss I refuse to sleep the whole day insomniac and rather drive my mother crazy Caitlin is fussy, tired and ready for bed. So for anyone else interested, come in the morning!

Life is Good!

Its usually Edward who blogs about our baby girl but for the past few days, she has become so cute that I cannot resist! These are my favourite pictures, of our baby with her favourite man (her daddy), her new found passion for her cot mobile friends (otherwise known as John, paul, george and ringo), her many toys given by people who love her and her smile every morning when she wakes us up! And not forgetting our gorgeous pepper who at the moment is sporting an all 80s flock of seagulls hairdo and fringe.

Life is good!

Through the years!

As some of you may know, a video was created for my auntie's 25 wedding anniversary. In the process of rifling through tons of photographs, I uncovered some of my sister and I when we were young along with my cousins marc and ross. Many were taken at my aunt's place where most holidays were spent - some sleepovers lasted up to 2 weeks! I remember being embarrased of these photos and looking at them now, I know why! Those glasses were the bane of my existence until contact lenses were permitted into my life. Things were never the same after that! What about the tucked in shirts, the dangling earrings and those "plastic smiles" (read - actually not in the mood to smile but will do so only for camera and photographic opportunities), the hair, oh the god forsaken hair of unruly curls, frizz at the side and on top, waves and bangs, , the braces and the oversized shirts that belonged to my mother or borrowed from em because we had no more clothes and wanted to stay some more!

Looking at them now, I also wonder what my daughter will look like - her face has already changed about 5 times in the last 2 months. Will she look like me, edward, our siblings, our parents, a mix or will she have the her own uniqueness and originality? Only time witll tell but as god is my witness, I make this promise to her and to all of you - she can rebond her hair anytime she wants.

KC comes to Tampines!

Saturday was a great night! My best friends from KC came by to visit the baby and indulge in food that we have eaten over and over again over the years - spaghetti! We actually call it the spaghetti from the Bedok Days (when Shirley our maid used to make it for us when they came over) It was the fastest and easiest thing I could cook with the fidgety and easily bored daughter of mine! It was great laughing and catching up as usual. Caitlin was not too interested and the baby of the night was actually regina's daughter Amelia who has grown up so fast! As usual only bloody May and Melissa used make up as usual even though they live down the road!

All in all it was a great weekend - had lunch with Li may and laura, a wonderful high chair and rocker was delivered to our house courtesy of the Machados (caitlin loves it!) , edward had a nice break and day out and pepper had a little wash!

On to this week!
