Friday Night Lights!

My poor Tasmanian Devil

Yup, me ol sis got it right.

Caitlin is the Tasmanian Devil (but a darling one at that) She fractured her wrist last week but this has not stopped her at all. Jumping, climbing, trying to do headstands, climb out of the play pen and lots more. It's not really stopped our schedule and I even took her to school much to the horror of her teacher who was so scared she would fall again. Ironically, she was calmest there and she had a good time as always in school. No fracture is stopping me from taking her to school I said!

Its been 2 trips to the ER and one trip to the ortho at KK and she is now on a temporary cast because I begged the doctors to keep it on her for another week despite the fact that its healing. Why? Because she is the Tasmanian Devil.

(She looks really adorable in the pictures though!)

Songs of the 80s

I've been religiously watching MTV's VH1 countdown of the top 100 songs of the 80s. And every night at 930pm on MTV they play these great 80s videos for 30 minutes.

The number one song by the way (as voted by Americans) was Living on a prayer by Bon Jovi. I think I can kind of agree with it but to me there is music before thriller and music after thriller and "beat it" only hit the number 6 spot. The number 2 song was pour some sugar on me which I suppose is pretty ok.

Anyway, watched Pat Benatar's video "Love is a battlefield" on one of these days and I forgot just how much I love the words to the song and the dance sequence.

We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield
We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield

You're beggin me to go, you're makin me stay
Why do you hurt me so bad?
It would help me to know
Do I stand in your way, or am I the best thing youve had?
Believe me, believe me, I can't tell you why
But I'm trapped by your love, and I'm chained to your side

We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield

We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield

Were losing control
Will you turn me away or touch me deep inside?
And before this gets old, will it still feel the same?
Theres no way this will die
But if we get much closer, I could lose control
And if your heart surrenders, youll need me to hold

We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield

We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield

We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield

We are strong, no one can tell us were wrong
Searchin our hearts for so long, both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield
