Caitlin's Big Day Out!

Caitlin's first excursion was to the Botanic Gardens but from the looks of it, it was more like some concentration camp!

She had a great time though and was rambling on and on about her best friend Anil Patel!

Caitlin at school

So Caitlin started her new school 2 weeks ago because I just did not find the Kinderland at Safra good enough to warrant me driving her to school in the morning and then taking her home during my free period and then dashing back to school for lessons.

So she has stared at Carpe Diem and she is enjoying it. In fact, she is on a field trip to the botanic gardens today to learn more about vegetables.

A big thank you filled with lots of love

Edward and I went to Bintan over the weekend and on Sunday when we got back it really hit me just how much my family loves us.

My parents are really busy people. My dad drives to Jurong every single day and works hard and my mum who has moved office, is still organising exhibitions successfully and spends her pre exhibition days running around to the early morning even.

Any yet, no matter when I ask for help, they drop everything to do so. Not only did my dad take leave on Friday to prepare for Caitlin coming to stay (so cute my dadums), he took her to the park in the evening to play. Mummy and him then took her to the beach to play and swim on saturday, to the park again in the evening and to Giant supermarket on Sunday which she loves. In between, Caitlin had a ball of a time staying there, rolling on their bed and just talking with them.

To top that all of, my dear family including me ol sis, lied to us on Sunday and said that they were taking her to Labrador Park for the evening. When Edward and I got home in the evening we were expecting an empty house but when I opened the room door, they were all hiding in there and they shouted surprise. It was one of the highlights of my evening. In addition to that, they had driven to Katong first to buy tea for us.

Even my auntie Em had packed food for us (pork chops, Edward's favourite and stew which is mine) as well as whole durian from Les for me. Di also bought Edward doughnuts last week and mothercare stuff for Caitlin. Not forgetting the countless packets of Caitlin's favourite snacks from Em.

I am so grateful to have a family that loves Caitlin so much. Many people over the years have told me that Tuff and I are spoiled. That no matter what, we have our mum and dad and the rest of our family to turn to in times of trouble. I say that I am the better for it. No matter the time of day or how busy or last minute, these people will drop everything for me, Caitlin and Edward. And this is not the first time . From Phuket (when Tuff and I went) , to simple nights out to weekends spent together, my family has always been there for me. The beauty of it is that I never need to ask. They are always free for caitlin, edward and I. So yes, I am glad to be spoiled and I count my blessings everyday. I only wish that I could now be half the parent my parents are or have as much unconditional love that my family has.

Mummy, daddy, tuff.. thanks so much for the weekend. I will never forget what you have done for my little family.
